Founded in 1985, Project Match conducts program development and research activities in the fields of welfare-to-work and workforce development. Project Match’s employment model for community-based organizations and its case management system for state and local welfare agencies have both been replicated at sites around the country. The program’s research division uses data from replication sites, as well as from Project Match’s own direct-service programs on Chicago’s Near West Side, to explore the process by which poor Americans move toward economic and family stability.
